Charge Points in San Francisco

Electric Vehicles and Charge Points in Hawaii? Not such a far fetched idea. There are other cities, such as San Francisco, that are already integrating electric vehicles into the daily routine.

I cruised into SanFrancisco early in the morning last weekend. On the way to my destination I cruised by City Hall where there is a designated area for electric vehicles. I took this opportunity to take a few pictures of the Charge Point stations working in real time. For full details about these Charge Points visit www.hiev.us.

Many of the cars were not plugged in. Perhaps they just didn't need a charge at the moment.

While the other cars didn't seem to require a charge at the moment, one of the cars was taking advantage of a Charge Point.

Some of the companies taking advantage of these Charge Points are Bay Area Air Quality Management District, City Car Share, and Zipcar.com.
